Meat Market
The Meat Market

Every village needs a good meat market.  Raising beef was one of the first pursuits before irrigation was provided.  Huge herds grazed throughout the valley.  After the land was sold under the Carey Act the cattle were kept on the south side of the Highline Canal.

The owners of the market were Lee Stettler, Jerry Douglass, and the Slaughters.
